A native of small-town Kentucky, early touchstones like Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earle and John Fogerty joined Wheelhouse Records’ Elvie Shane’s Gospel roots to form the bedrock of his taste – along with R&B classics like The Temptations and modern superstars like Eminem. Shane has celebrated multiple milestones with his hit single “My Boy” topping the charts at country radio and being certified PLATINUM by the RIAA. “My Boy” is taken from Shane’s debut full length album BACKSLIDER. Shane co-wrote the set that embodies the crunchy hooks of classic rock, the nostalgia of country music as well as the emotional electricity of Gospel and R&B. T. Davis & Company is the brainchild of T. Davis, a soul singer-songwriter and producer based in Goldsboro, NC. Since age 17, he has performed with cover bands and as a solo act up and down the east coast, from Georgia to Washington, DC. Following the release of his second original studio album, Wanderlust & Happy Pills,in May of this year, he decided it was finally time to form a band to bring the full sound of his original funk and soul to life. He is proud to be debuting this new band at NC Freedom Fest, with an all-original set of songs from his first two albums. Joining him in the group is an all-star lineup of North Carolina’s finest musicians – Aaron Jarman on drums, Adrian Gardner on bass, Jamin Croom on guitar, Averil Williams on keys, and Cory Lough and Thomas Hubbard (aka SisYgy) on vocals. With decades of shared experience on stage and in the studio, and a funky setlist of all-original soul music, T. Davis & Co. can’t wait to hit the NC Freedom Fest stage!
