Goldsboro, NC – [March 30, 2026] – NC Freedom Fest is making its return, and this year’s celebration is set to be one of the most meaningful yet. On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Downtown Goldsboro will come alive with a full day of patriotism, entertainment, and community pride. This free, family-friendly event is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who serve our country and protect our communities—including our military, veterans, and first responders.
The day begins at 12:00 PM with a lively street fair running through 5:00 PM. Attendees can stroll through a diverse lineup of local vendors, admire an impressive car and bike show, and enjoy a variety of free activities designed for all ages. It’s a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where families, friends, and neighbors can come together in support of those who serve—especially the first responders who answer the call every single day, often without recognition.
At 5:00 PM, the celebration moves to Freedom Field for an unforgettable evening program centered around honor, gratitude, and high-energy entertainment. The program will feature military awards, an art contest showcase, and the always-anticipated F-15 flyover—a powerful and moving salute to the dedication and sacrifice of our service members and emergency personnel alike.
Headlining the night is award-winning country artist Ashley McBryde. Known for her raw, authentic storytelling and powerhouse vocals, McBryde has earned multiple GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM awards while building a reputation as one of country music’s most respected voices. From her breakout album Girl Going Nowhere to chart-topping hits and critically acclaimed releases, she brings grit, heart, and an unforgettable live performance to every stage she takes.
This year’s event also carries special significance as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States—a milestone that invites reflection on our nation’s history, resilience, and unity. NC Freedom Fest will honor this occasion by highlighting the enduring spirit of patriotism and the generations of heroes—past and present—who have helped shape and protect our freedom.
“America’s 250th anniversary, the 25th remembrance of 9/11, and current events in the Middle East have inspired us to create an ‘Epic’ NC Freedom Fest this year,” said Doug McGrath, NC Freedom Fest President. “And with Ashley McBryde, we will deliver!”
